Does REALLY offer phones for me to buy?
No, we do not sell phones. We only offer an eSIM capable phone service. You will need to BYOD (bring your own phone).
Can I bring my current phone to REALLY?
Yes, the only way you will be able to use our service is with your own unlocked and compatible phone.
What is an unlocked phone and how do I check if mine is unlocked?
Unlocked phones are phones that aren’t tied to a specific carrier’s network. That means an unlocked phone can work with more than just one service provider. On the other hand, if your phone is locked, it usually means it’s not paid off or you’re still under contract with your current carrier; In some cases, a phone might be locked due to the Reseller Flex policy, which allows retailers to sell phones that are initially unlocked, but are programmed to lock to the first network they connect to at activation. You can call your current provider to check if your phone is unlocked or locked; if it’s locked, they should be able to help you unlock it.
How do I check if my phone is compatible on REALLY's network?
A compatible phone means the phone’s network is a match with REALLY's and is eSIM capable. If you previously used that phone with AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Simple Mobile or Straight Talk, then it’ll probably work with REALLY's network.
How do I check if my phone is eSIM compatible?
To to make sure your phone actually supports eSIM. Most modern iPhone (from XS on) and Android devices are eSIM capable, but it is always recommended to check first. You can check here for a list of Android devices that are compatible with eSIMS.
How do I unlock my phone?
Unlocking a phone isn’t difficult, however, steps will vary depending on your current carrier, so it’s best to contact your carrier directly. You can usually do this via their website, calling customer service, or even visiting a physical store.
A rule of thumb for unlocked phones is:
The phone has been active for at least 60-90 days
The phone is fully paid off
Your account is in good standing
Can I bring my current phone number to REALLY?
Yes! During the purchase process you will be asked if you want to bring your phone number or get a new one. You can bring your phone number to REALLY if your phone is unlocked. . Do NOT cancel your old service until you transfer your number to REALLY. If you cancel your old service before the transfer is complete, your number will be lost.
What do I need to bring my phone number over?
Your current account number. This can be found on your billing statement or you may have to reach out to your current carrier to get this info
The corresponding PIN or “Number Transfer PIN” associated with your account
The billing ZIP code associated with your account
Can I get a new number with REALLY?
Yes! We can assign you a new phone number. This can be used as a secondary phone number on your phone or if you are wanting to end your service with your other provider it can be your only phone number too!
Can I use REALLY with wearables?
You can use REALLY's cellular features with a tablet, smart watch, or iPad. However, with an Apple Watch, it will only work in Companion Mode.
